Dick Wenzel
President: Dick is a 31year member, and a consummate barbershopper. His vocation has taken him from Ohio to Florida, to California and Wisconsin, and back to Ohio. He has sung in five barbershop districts, nine different chapters and has served as an officer in every category, in addition to being selected as Barbershopper Of The Year, while in Florida. Dick has sung in numerous quartets, and competed on the International Stage, singing with the Midwest Vocal Express. Dick is retired, having been a telephone repairman, a Sales Engineer, a Security manager, a business owner, and an employee of Barbershop Society. Dick loves riding his Harley. Jim Niebel
VP Chapter Development:
Jim is a two time member of the BHS, having joined the
Canton Chapter in the early 1980's, then after five years,
resigned to join his church choir. He rejoined two years ago and
quickly found his "mojo". He sings lead in the chorus and now
becomes part of the chapter staff, seeking new members to
bolster the chorus. Jim has two great passions; singing
barbershop and fishing. He and his wife, Kaye, have five
children, five grandchildren, and a great grandson. They reside

Flinn
Co-VP Program: Darryl was born and raised in Akron, Ohio. He began singing harmony in a high school quartet, and has been enjoying the hobby ever since. After a 35 year career as a District Manager with State Farm Insurance, he slipped quite nicely into the Executive Director seat at the Barbershop Harmony Society, from which he retired in 2004. He returned to the Canton area and his beloved "Hall Of Fame Chorus". He has served the society as a Chorus Director, Coach, Certified Singing Judge, District and International President and Board Member. Don Anderson
Co-VP Program: Don is a 40 year member of the Canton Chapter. He has been its Bulletin Editor, President, VP Program, and has written and produced the annual chorus show for over 20 years. Don has sung in many quartets, most notably the Antique Music Revue and Vintage Music Company. He presently sings with the All In Quartet, and sings tenor in the Hall of Fame Chorus. Fr. Joe Witmer
Secretary: Fr.
Joe, a native of Canton, has taken a rather circuitous
route in becoming a member of the Canton Chapter. He first
joined the Barbershop Harmony Society, back in 1970, in the
Warren Ohio Chapter. He then was assigned to the Canton area in 1973,
where he
joined the Canton Chapter. Later, he was reassigned to the Youngstown
Area, and the Washington, D.C. area, where he won his International Gold Medal, singing with the
Alexandria Harmonizers in 1986. He presently serves as pastor of Our Lady Of
Perpetual Help Catholic Church, in Aurora, Ohio, and once again
is a member of the Hall of Fame Chorus. He sang in quartets, while

Jake Mandator
Treasurer: Jake is a 35 year member of the Canton Chapter. He has served the chapter and the Johnny Appleseed District as president and treasurer. He also has been a chapter bulletin editor and district VP of chapter development. Jake is a retired systems specialist, who likes to renew Antique cars, garden and serves his church in it's choir, as well as it's treasurer. He and his wife, Pat live in the Massillon Area. Phil Downey
Board Member at Large: Phil has served as president of the Canton Chapter for six consecutive years. He has always put the chapter and chorus as his top priority. Phil leaves a legacy of having steered the chapter through some hard times, but now feels we're on the proper course. The new casual uniforms, and three time relocation of the chapter meeting place, all were on his "watch". Phil is a 30 year member of the Barbershop Harmony Society and sings lead in the Hall of Fame Chorus. Joe Fraley
Board Member at Large & Chorus Manager: Joe is an 25 year member of the Canton Chapter. He has served as it's President, Program VP, and board member for nearly the entire span. He has sung in several registered quartets, and having switched from bass to tenor, now sings with the Lightly Seasoned quartet. Jesse Pittman
Board Member at Large & District Delegate: Jesse is a 22 year member of the Canton Chapter, serving as President and District Delegate. Jesse is in charge of fund raising projects for the chapter, faithfully serving to chair the Apple Fritter Booth and Poinsettia Sales efforts. Dave Pumneo

Dave is one of the newest members of the Canton Chapter, having
joined just three years ago. Dave came to the board, with an idea
for a golf outing, that could be used to raise funds for the
Harmony Foundation. He chaired this successful event, last
September, and has intentions to make it even bigger and better
this year. Dave sings lead in the chorus, and enjoys performing
in the Community Theatre, in his hometown of Louisville. To

Dave Richards
Immediate Past President: Dave has been a member of the Canton Chapter for over 22 years, and sings bass in the Hall of Fame Chorus. He is retired from First Energy Corp., and enjoys gardening, photography, cooking, woodworking, and playing the guitar. He has served the chapter as it's program vice president, and Bulletin Editor and presently serves as the Johnny Appleseed District Secretary. Dan Stahl
Board Member at Large: Dan is enjoying his second stint with the Canton Chapter, having joined in 1987 and sang with the chorus at the 1988 International. He rejoined in 2010, after hiring the chorus for his High School's 50 year reunion. He sings baritone in the chorus, and is now a member of the Board and also serves on the Membership Committee. Chorus Director:
Dave has been involved with instrumental and vocal music for
most of his life. Though his musical interests vary from
Renaissance madrigals to rock-n-roll, barbershop harmony remains
his favorite. Dave joined the society some 18years ago, and has directed a variety of barbershop choruses
during that period. The Canton Chapter is most pleased to have him directing the
Hall of Fame Chorus. Dave is a
